Insulated Dual Doors

Our electrically operated Fast Action Insulated Dual Door is a fast acting industrial insulated roller shutter door with an opening speed of between 800mm and 1000mm per second.  Designed to suit a busy external opening with high traffic flow, its fast-acting operation dramatically reduces heat loss, noise contamination and airborne pollution, along with time lost waiting for conventional types of doors to open.  The Dual Door 1000 has been designed to offer five main objectives:

Curtain Characteristics:

  • Double steel skin with pre-foam infill ensuring maximum insulation value
  • Curtain alignment system
  • Option of vision windows
  • Bottom yellow hazard weather seal
  • Acoustic value 22db

Barrel Characteristics:

  • Manufactured from seamless mild steel tube to BS4760
  • Maximum barrel deflection 1:400, fitted with Precision-machined shaft to BS970 EN33.

Main Support Brackets:

  • The main support brackets for the barrel and motor unit are manufactured from mild steel plates of varying thickness which incorporate fixings suitable for the aperture the product is fitting to.

Vertical Side Guides:

  • The vertical side guides are formed from pre-galvanized material, having a minimum thickness of 2.5mm incorporating twin vertical brushes on both inner and outer face of the guide. The brush carrier is constructed from PVC of suitable strength.
  • Fixed to the opening structure by continuous 100 x 65 galvanized fixing angle.

Door Operation:

  • Each high speed door is equipped with a fully automatic control panel to IP54 specifications
  • Auto Close
  • Light Curtain safety edge or Safety photocell & Safety bottom Edge
  • Speed 800mm to 1000mm per second

Typical Motor Specification:

  • Solid housing made of cast aluminium.
  • Worm gear pair of low noise with hollow shaft.
  • Integrated safety catch is independent from rotary frequency and position.
  • Self locking low noise worm gears
  • Worm Wheels are made of Wear Resistant Phosphor Bronze.
  • Self locking low noise worm gears
  • Diameter of hollow shaft 30mm and 40mm
